Farmville Super Pumpkins

These pumpkins really are super.

A special new crop has arrived in Farmville for a limited time only. Super Pumpkins are available only for players who become fans of Farmville on Facebook. The new seeds will be available for planting through the end of the month only. They’re a pretty impressive crop with some of the best statistics in the game. They have the best net profit per hour of any crop (almost twice as much as peas!) and they earn XP at a rate equivalent to all the berry crops. Bottom line: if you’re serious about earning coins and XP, become a Farmville fan now and start planting super pumpkins every four hours until they go away!

Here is a look at some of the data.

  • Cost: 30 coins
  • Sell for: 100 coins
  • XP: 1
  • Harvest Time: 4 hours
  • Gross Profit: 70 coins
  • Net Profit (includes plow cost): 55 coins
  • Net Profit per Hour: 14 coins
  • XP per hour (including plowing): 0.5

It’s too early to get full Crop Mastery data on the pumpkins, but it appears that you can earn mastery in this crop. The first star requires 1,250 harvests.

Getting Your Villa in Farmville

January 21st, 2010 cheatspulse 1 comment

The Villa in FarmVille is one of the most sought-after status items in the game. It doesn’t provide any function, but it’s a showpiece that lets everyone know you’ve accomplished a lot in the game. Therefore, a lot of people try to get it as quickly as they can. The Villa has some hefty requirements. First, you must be at least level 34 in the game to get it. Second, it costs a whopping 1 million coins. The good news is that if you follow a good Farmville crop profit guide, you’ll probably have that many coins by the time you reach level 34.

Farmville Villa

You'll be the envy of all your farmville friends with this villa on your property.

So getting the Villa isn’t really about a specific strategy as much as it is figuring out the best way to level up to 34 and make sure you have 1 million coins saved up once you get there. There’s obviously a lot of different ways to approach this, but the fastest is to focus on growing the most profitable crops by level with some attention paid to maximizing the XP rewards you can get from certain ribbons. It almost goes without saying that any strategy in Farmville benefits from adding as many neighbors as you possibly can. Having more neighbors means you’ll be able to expand your farm faster without having to pay Farm Cash, and it also increases your opportunities for earning coins and XP as you try to progress to level 34.

Here’s one basic strategy you can follow to level as quickly as possible in the game. Depending on how much time you’re willing to spend in the game, you can focus on fast growth crops and leveraging the soybean delete glitch, or you can take things a little easier by just planting the most profitable long term crops. Here’s what you should be doing, level by level to get your Villa as quickly as possible. These crops focus on XP over coin profit, but you’ll still have enough coins at the end for the Villa.

Best Short Growth Crops (these take less than one day to harvest)

Your Level Best Crop
1-7 Strawberries
8-16 Raspberries
17-28 Blueberries
29+ Black Berries

Best Long Growth Crops (these take one day or longer to harvest)

Your Level Best Crop
1-11 Soybeans
12-14 Peppers
14-18 Red Tulips
19-24 Grapes
25-31 Sunflowers
32+ Peas

One additional trick you can use to improve your leveling rate is to use the Soybean delete trick. After you’ve planted your crops, save one plot and plant soybeans on it. Then use your shovel tool to immediately delete the soybeans you just planted. Then keep repeating the process until you run out of time or patience (it’s a lot of clicking!) It sounds a little crazy, but each time you repeat this cycle, you essentially convert 30 coins into 3 XP. Plowing the plot costs 15 coins and planting soybeans costs another 15 coins. But you get 1 XP for plowing the plot and 2 XP for planting soybeans. Keep doing this and you can quickly convert your excess coins into XP. This is especially useful early in the game when you have a lot of coins leftover after a planting cycle. It’s less efficient later on in the game, unless you really don’t mind all the clicking you’ll have to do.

Using these tips and strategies should help you get to level 34 quickly and have enough coins for your villa. Soon you’ll be sitting inside, sipping some nice tea and reflecting on your farming empire!

Farmville Collectables

January 15th, 2010 cheatspulse No comments

Farmville released a huge number of things into the game today, and the most extensive is the introduction of Farmville Collectables. These are items that can be found while you plow and harvest your farm, or when you are fertilizing and gifting your neighbors in the game.

Farmville Collectables are now available in the game.

The collectables are organized into sets, and if you get all of the items in a particular set, you will win a special prize. At launch, there are four collectable sets:

  • Gardening Tools Collection
  • Country Kitsch Collection
  • Bugs Collection
  • Feather Collection

One of the first items in the collectables that everyone is seeing is the Dragonfly bug, which is available as a gift that you can send to your friends.

FarmVille Free Fuel Week Arrives

January 4th, 2010 cheatspulse 1 comment

The highly anticipated free fuel week on FarmVille has just arrived today. This week, for five days, you can get one free fuel refill per day. You can also gift 1/5 fuel refills to your friends (one fifth of a full fuel refill). It’s not a lot, but if you have plenty of neighbors, those fuel refill gifts can add up. Normally, a one-time-use fuel refill from the Marketplace costs 3 Farm Cash, so this is a great way to stock up on fuel.

Of course, fuel is what powers the machinery like Tractors, Harvesters and Seeders, which are all available in the Market. If you haven’t used these machines before, they work on up to four plots of land at a time, and can significantly reduce the amount of time you spend planting, plowing and harvesting your land. Less clicking is more fun! But the problem is that the fuel runs out pretty quickly, and if you have a sizeable farm (about 150-200 plots or more) your fuel supply is never enough to complete the job. That’s why free fuel week is so exciting on FarmVille!

Presents under the holiday tree in Farmville

Christmas may have ended, but there’s still time to give and receive presents in Farmville. If you’ve got a bunch of presents under your Holiday tree, now is the time to open them. You’ll be able to open presents until January 7. And you’ll also be able to send and receive new presents until then as well.

To open your presents, first open your gifts menu and select “Use” for each of the wrapped presents you’ve received. They’ll be placed under your Holiday tree, which you should have already placed somewhere on your farm. If you haven’t done that yet, do it now! Next, click on the Holiday tree to see all the presents underneath it and you can then open each one. You’ll get a gift each time. Some of them are common gifts that you can normally get from friends very easily, but some are uncommon or rare.

There’s also a special gift called the Gold Present. To get this, you need to trade in five regular presents and 5 Farm Cash. That sounds steep, but Farmville promises that each Gold present will contain only the very best gifts found in other presents. Have you tried a Gold Present? Let us know what you got by leaving a comment!

Top Five Cash Crops in Farmville

November 12th, 2009 cheatspulse 19 comments

If you’ve been playing Farmville for a while, you know that the best way to make coins is the most obvious: farm crops! You can have a lot of fun harvesting trees or collecting items from animals on your farm, but the real money comes from consistently plowing, seeding, and harvesting your crops. But there are so many choices of what to plant in Farmville, and you might be wondering what you should choose. Well, worry no more, because here are the Top 5 crops to plant based on their coin yield.

Methodology

First, a quick work on the methodology. This is really just some simple math that looks at the cost of the seeds and the selling price, which then determines the profit per plot of ground. Then it factors in the growth time to determine the coins per hour that you’ll earn. Remember to pick the best crop that matches your play pattern. For example, having a high-yield crop with a low growth time doesn’t help you if you can’t log in more than once every other day or so.

Finally, know that all of these crops are only available at the higher levels in the game, so I’ve included the level requirement in the table below. You’ll need to be at least level 19 to plant any of the top five seeds. Now on to the top crops!

The Top Five Crops

Crop Level Required Cost Growth Time XP Gain Selling Price Profit per Plot Yield (Coins per Hour)
Tomatoes 20 100 8 hours 1 173 58 7.25
Sugar Cane 31 165 8 hours 1 239 59 7.37
Grapes 19 85 1 day 2 270 coins 170 7.39
Asparagus 37 220 16 hours 2 357 122 7.63
Peas 32 190 1 day 3 381 176 7.65

Is Farmville About Boredom?

November 11th, 2009 admin No comments

I read an interesting article today on the Guardian called, FarmVille: who knew boredom could be a cash crop? The reporter asks a good question about how such a simple game can become so popular when all you really do is kill some time.

What do you think? Is Farmville boring? Or is it fun? Post a comment!

Farmville Scams?

November 6th, 2009 cheatspulse No comments

I read this post on ComputerWorld today that talks about how it’s easy to get scammed/tricked into signing up for things when you try to buy virtual cash for Farmville. See sometimes you can just pay cash or you can do these things called offers where it’s kind of like you’re getting the Farmville cash for free. But nothing’s ever free, right? I guess a lot of people don’t realize that when they do these offers, they end up paying for things like a NetFlix subscription or something they didn’t really want. What do you think?

Anyway, this blog is all about helping you find Farmville cheats and secrets that don’t require purchasing the virtual goods in Farmville. There are a few things we recommend that do cost money, like the Farmville Secrets guide. That costs $27 but it’s pretty cheap when you think about how much time it will save you and you can put those strategies to work so that you don’t have to buy the Farmville cash and possibly get scammed by all those crazy offers!

Well be careful out there farmers!
