The second campaign in Star Wars: Commander, called Escalation on Dandoran, has arrived. It will be available for one week, giving players of the game some time to work their way through a whopping 56 missions in the campaign.

Escalation on Dandoran is ambitious, with separate mission tracks for players of both the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire. The rewards this time around are exciting. Empire players have the chance to earn the TIE Advanced Strike, which resembles Darth Vader’s own curved wing TIE Fighter from Episode 4. Rebel Alliance players can earn the A-Wing Strike. Both spaceships are powerful and are designed specifically to wear down enemy shields, making them very valuable in later-stage PvP battles.

But these fancy new spaceships come at a cost: you’ll need to earn 15,000 points in the campaign over the next week to fully unlock them. You’ll be able to purchase single-use versions for much less.

The new campaign ends  at 7 pm GMT on Friday, October 3, or 3 pm ET/12 noon PT in the United States. It’s time to get cracking on Escalation on Dandoran.

Campaign II: Escalation on Dandoran Walkthroughs

Here are the mission-by-mission walkthroughs for Star Wars: Commander Campaign II, Escalation on Dandoran. There are 56 missions in total. These walkthroughs are presented for players on the Galactic Empire side. The Rebel Alliance missions will be slightly different, although general strategies and tactics are about the same for both sides.

Missions 1 through 10

The first missions are relatively easy and straightforward and should be easily completed by players at all levels in the game. You’ll get your first peek at the reward units in Mission 2. Most of the missions are straightforward attacks, but in Mission 9 you’ll need to be ready to defend your base.

Higher level players take note: the credit and alloy rewards for these early mission are very low, and in most cases you’ll end up losing substantial credits while fielding your attacking army. If you don’t have a lot of credits to spare, don’t use more troops in the attack than you really need to.

  • Mission 1
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.
    Rewards: 1,400 Credits, 1,400 Alloy, 150 Points
  • Mission 2
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.
    Rewards: 1,400 Credits, 1,400 Alloy, 150 Points
    Notes: You’ll get your first taste of the Advanced TIE Fighter and A-Wing Strike ships here. You’ll have 5 strikes at your disposal to take out the enemy base shields before you deploy your ground forces.
  • Mission 3
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.
    Rewards: 1,400 Credits, 1,400 Alloy, 150 Points
  • Mission 4
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.
    Rewards: 1,400 Credits, 1,400 Alloy, 150 Points
  • Mission 5
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.
    Rewards: 1,400 Credits, 1,400 Alloy, 150 Points
    Notes: There are four turrets here and the base is tucked into the corner. Deploy turret busting troops (like the Phase II Dark Troopers) on all four turrets at once to take them out. Then clean up as needed with other infantry.
  • Mission 6
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.
    Rewards: 1,400 Credits, 1,400 Alloy, 150 Points
  • Mission 7
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.
    Rewards: 1,400 Credits, 1,400 Alloy, 150 Points
  • Mission 8
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.
    Rewards: 1,700 Credits, 1,400 Alloy, 200 Points
  • Mission 9
    Enemy attack incoming! Prevent your HQ from being destroyed to earn all 3 stars!
    Notes: You’ll be attacked by enemy infantry troops here. This is easily survivable for most levels as long as you have splash damage turrets like the Mortar Turret. Shield Generators covering your HQ make this a walk in the park on defense.
    Rewards: 200 Points
  • Mission 10
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.
    Rewards: 1,700 Credits, 1,400 Alloy, 200 Points
    Notes: Following the recommendation from the General, you’ll want to use Shock Troops (if you have them) to attack a corner of the base, but most players should be able to handle this with Phase II Dark Troopers (Empire) or Wookies (Rebel Alliance). You’ll want to attack two corners of the base (but not more!) to make sure you take out the multiple layers of walls and at least two of the turrets. From there, your troops should take out the remaining turrets and then be able to clean up before the timer runs out. Empire players may want to deploy the AT-MP Mark III to do the job quicker.

By the time you complete the first 10 missions, you’ll have 1,650 Points. A long way to unlocking your new spaceship. But fear not, we’re on our way. Next up, missions 11-20.

Missions 11-20

The storyline continues with a series of missions that are mostly enemy base attacks. There is one base defense mission among this group. As before, the credits and alloy rewards are still relatively low. The missions here are noticeably more challenging for lower-level players, but should continue to be a breeze for anyone with HQ Level 3 or higher.

  • Mission 15

  • Mission 16
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.

  • Mission 17

  • Mission 18
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.

  • Mission 19
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.
    Rewards: 2,250 Credits, 2,250 Alloy, 250 Points
  • Mission 20
    Destroy half the base for 1 star, the HQ for 2 stars, and all buildings for 3 stars.
    Rewards: 2,250 Credits, 2,250 Alloy, 250 Points

Once you complete Mission 20, you will have accumulated 3,800 towards your ultimate goal of 15,000 points.
