Sims Social Energy Cheats and Guide

One of the most important areas to manage in the Sims Social Facebook game is your Sims Energy. Energy is a new concept to the Sims series and your Sim requires it for most actions and interactions. There are lots of Sims Social Energy cheats and tips for keeping it as full as possible while you play the game. Energy is replenished slowly over time, but not nearly fast enough to keep up with an active player. Your main source of Energy while playing will be in-game items that restore your Energy bar. You can obtain these in several different ways, mainly by completing quests, crafting, and sharing with friends.

While Energy is ultimately a limiting factor on the efficiency of your Sim and how much actual playing you can get done in a session, it’s an interesting challenge to overcome as a player and after a while you will get into a steady rhythm of expending and regaining Energy. Some players simply throw Simcash at the problem (real money), but this isn’t necessary for a player who manages their time and resources wisely.

Sims Social - Out of Energy

The dreaded 'out of energy' screen. If you don't get more soon you Sim won't be able to do much.

Choosing Your Actions Wisely

The foundation for managing Energy efficiently in Sims Social is to use your Energy on only the most useful and valuable actions for your Sim. This depends on your Skills, Traits, and the Quests that you’re working on. If you squander your Energy on ‘fluff’ actions that reap little or no rewards for your Sim, you will quickly find yourself out of Energy without the means to restore it. On the other hand, if you use your Energy to get as much rewards and advancement as possible, you will have an easier time refilling your Energy bar and doing more tasks.

Sims Social - Choose Actions Wisely

The slow Energy regeneration rate won't accomodate extended play sessions. You'll need to restore that Energy yourself.

For example, let’s say my character specializes in Writing, his skill has been leveled up the most out of all of his skills and he can get the most Simoleons if he writes. However, a current quest wants him to go and interact with a neighbor to complete it. Which action should I spend my Energy on?

I would head over to a neighbor and spend my Energy interacting with them instead of furthering my Writing skill for now. Why? Well, conversation and quest completion yield plenty of rewards and some much-needed items for crafting Energy items that Writing does not. Be conscious of the items in your backpack and storage and keep in mind what else you need to make some more Energy restoration items, use your Energy on actions that have a chance of getting those for you.

Using Friends for Energy

Now that the Sims has entered the social network gaming arena, collaborating with friends and playing cooperatively is more important than ever. The game is designed to greatly reward players who play as a group and ‘share’ rewards with each other whenever they receive them. This can exponentially increase your Sims income and efficiency and allow you to progress much faster in the game (as well as keep you from spending precious Simcash). Can cooperating with friends help you increase your Energy too?

Absolutely! Playing with friends can help you boost your Energy in several ways. The most direct way is by sharing +1 Energy candy bars or with each other, which you can commonly do for completing quests, leveling up, using your skills, and helping your neighbors. You can also gain and share +3 Energy coffee cups by helping your neighbors and completing quests. As long as your group is active and sharing with each other, you should be stocking up on Energy items regularly.

Sims Social - Backpack Contents

Sharing with friends is a great way to fill your backpack with valuable items and crafting materials.

Of course, the more indirect benefit of friends on your Energy is via the resources they provide you- the items that you gain from playing as a group can aid you in crafting Energy items to keep your character going. Speaking of crafting, let’s talk about how to create Energy replenishing items from the stuff in your backpack.

Crafting Energy Items

A savvy and resourceful Sims Social player will minimize the amount of Simcash needed to keep playing by utilizing the crafting system. If you haven’t used it before, crafting essentially allows you to turn a few items in your backpack into a different item that you can use. This allows you to craft a whole slew of different things, but for now we are mainly concerned with Energy rejuvenation items. Take a look at this entry on the crafting screen:

Sims Social - Backpack Contents

The +5 Energy coffee mug is available for crafting.

Here we can see the item in question- a coffee mug. See those three slots on the right? Those mean that you need 8 Goodwills, 7 Loves, and 3 Buzzes to craft a single +5 Energy coffee cup. This seems a bit steep to beginners, but if you’re utilizing friends and completing quests regularly, once your Sim is a high level you can craft these often enough to keep you playing almost indefinitely.

Is that All for Energy?

The only other immediate way to regain your energy is by spending Simcash, which means spending your own money to keep on playing. This may be worth it to some players, but others strive to play the game without spending a single penny. This is certainly possible, but it cannot be stressed enough that this style of play practically requires the use of friends and neighbors unless you are content with only playing for a short while each day until your Energy is exhausted.

Remember to be conscious of the ways you spend your Energy and what that expenditure gains for you, do actions that benefit you the most and always strive to obtain the items you need to craft more Energy items.

Sims Social – How to Earn More Simoleans

The Sims Social is one of the most fascinating games on Facebook. It is a simulation of real world life, where you have to keep relationships, manage your house and tackle other real life chores! This game gained most popularity because it served as a way out for people to express their feelings and try to tackle things that they find intimidating in real world. So, what do you need to excel in Sims Social? There are several things that I can name, as an answer to this question. However, simoleans are one of the most important things you would need in Sims Social. The big question is what are the best ways to earn more simoleans, every hour!

What are Simoleans?

Simoleans carry great importance because they are the virtual currency of your virtual world in the Sims Social. You want to buy that elegant dress for you Sim? Do you want to refurnish your house at Sims Social? Do you want to buy a new accessory? For all these pleasurable things, you need to spend simoleans. This is the money in Sims Social and you would be using it throughout your game.

How to Get More Simoleans

Well, earning simoleans in bulk is not an easy thing. However, there are few clever tricks that I knew and I am going to reveal them in this article now! So, all of you can enjoy Sims Social more everyday! Obviously, earning more simoleans will add more color and variety to your virtual world and you’ll have more fun with your Sim! So, lets go through the strategies to grab more simoleans!

One of the evident ways to get hold of maximum simoleans is by purchasing them with your real money. However, I am not recommending this option, because if you would spend all your real money on your virtual world, you would be left with little savings in the real world. Definitely, not a nice picture! However, if you have millions to spend, you can have all the fun in Sims Social and you can surely, purchase as many simoleans, as you desire.

For those who can’t afford to buy simoleans or don’t desire spending real life money on virtual games, there are other options to earn simoleans. By performing actions on your skill items you can earn a lot of simoleans, such as writing on computer or composing music or painting or typing etc. You will earn more simoleans for performing actions on newly purchased items.

Earn Simoleons in Sims Social

There are many different tasks you can do in the game that earn Simoleons.

Simoleans can also be earned by performing actions within your house on general things, such repairing broken things, taking pictures or cutting grass etc. In short, anything that would cost you some energy, would also award you few simoleans.

Harvesting enables you to earn a great number of simoleans. You can also get bonus for harvesting the crops on time. So, always stay busy in planting and harvesting some crops. Moreover, completing your missions or tasks would also award you simoleans. Harvesting crops and completion of mission are two most achievable targets!

Additionally, you should also stay regular in sending few simoleans to your friends because they would also reciprocate and send you few back. Imagine you have 30+ friends! You would be able to receive maximum gifts of simoleans, only if you share the “simoleans” with your friends. So, do that sometimes!

One of the most useful tricks for earning simoleans is to perform your money earning tasks, when your Sim is inspired! Each task earns a small bonus when done while in inspired mode. Earn simoleans and enjoy a Happy Sims Social Life!

Sims Social – Tips for Traits and Skills

Sims Social is one of the most popular games on Facebook these days! Its popularity is primarily because of the real world feel that the players get while being in this game. In Sims Social you can pick several traits and skills for your Sim, or character in the game. These traits allow you to define your character and earn simoleons (the primary currency in the game).

Traits in Sims Social

As a general rule, you can choose almost six traits for your Sim. However, if you want to buy a trait, you need to spend lifetime points (that you can earn by mastering several skills). There are several traits in Sims Social that you may choose for your Sim; one of those traits is ‘slob’. This trait type remains generally unconcerned about the hygiene and can survive in filth and mess. However, other Sims may not admire a ‘slob’ trait. There are four levels for almost every Sim. Getting to the highest level, obviously, earns you more experience in the game and more points.

There are around nine traits, which your Sim can master in this game. Apart from the slob-trait, you can pick ‘steel bladder’ (enables your Sim to use the toilet less), ‘neat’ (Sims that posses this trait, stay neat and tidy at all times), ‘super mechanic’ (through this trait, your Sim may repair things speedily), ‘insane’ (Sims with this trait have less need to socialize), ‘Ogre’ (Sims with this trait type make more enemies, however, they do not require energy to clean things), ‘ninja’ (Sims with this trait walks briskly, as compared to others. They can also teleport or run!), ‘great kisser’ (Sims with this trait have the tendency to improve their love relationships) and ‘night owl’ (Sims with this trait require less sleep time). One thing is worth mentioning here; you must master all the traits, if you desire to extract maximum benefit out of them!

Sims Social - Traits

Skills in Sims Social

Just like the variety in traits, there are several skills in Sims Social that your Sim ought to perform in order to earn you points in the game. Skills function as a profession for your Sim. You may choose to be a musician, a chef, an artist or a writer. Once you decide the skill type for your Sim, you must also get hold of the required item for that skill. Remember, without having the associated item, your Sim will not be able to raise the skill points.

For the writing skill, you need to have a computer for your Sim while for the painting skill, you Sim require an easel. If you want to see your Sim as a chef, you should get hold of a microwave and if you want your Sim to be a musician, you must have a guitar. All you need to do is to click the associated item and then pick the task required. Choosing the relevant task would lead to an increase in your skill points. You can view the progress of your skills through ‘skill window’. As you level up in skills, new skills open up and you can keep enjoying the virtual life of Sims Social.

Now that you have the basic information about skills and traits in Sims Social, you are well equipped to handle your virtual life!

Sims Social – New Player and Starting Quests Guide

The Sims Social is the most user-friendly and easy to play game in the entire Sims series, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some new gameplay features and aspects of the game that new players often have trouble with. The shift from traditional gaming platforms to the social media landscape of Facebook has changed the dynamics of how a game of the Sims is played. Let’s take a look at some of the most important things for new players to know about Sims Social and then complete some of the first quests that you receive in the game.

Energy

One of the biggest differences between Sims Social and the rest of the series is the use of Energy. Your character needs Energy to perform any sort of task that allows them to advance a skill or gain experience, and it can only be replenished by waiting or consuming special Energy restoring items (which can be attained in-game, crafted, or bought with Simcash).

Sims Social - Energy

Any actions highlighted in yellow required Energy to perform.

SimCash

Nearly all Facebook games have the option of using real money to make purchases in-game to give your character an edge, and Sims Social is no different. Paid currency comes in the form of SimCash, which is used to buy premium items (the most useful being Energy consumables) and can also be exchanged for the regular currency of Simoleons.

SimCash

If you plan on playing for extended periods, you may need SimCash to give your character Energy.

Leveling Up and Traits

As you gain more experience by using skills, interacting with other Sims, and completing quests, you’ll always be getting closer to leveling up. This may give you some money, an item, or unlock some items in the store. Leveling up your character opens up tons of new opportunities for them and makes it easier to expand and furnish your house with cooler stuff.

Sims Social - Level Up

You can maximize the rewards of Leveling by sharing them with a group of friends and vice-versa.

In addition to Experience Points, you will also gain Lifetime Points. These can be used to purchase Traits, which can be accessed using the button on top of your Sims portrait. Traits are powerful advantages that your Sim has that can be extremely helpful in certain situations, spend your Lifetime Points wisely and try to strategize to fit your Sims behaviors.

Sims Social - Traits

Pick traits that will be especially useful for your type of Sim.

The First Quests: Getting Started

The very first thing you’ll need to do after creating your character is to unload the boxes in your home. This is simple, just click on them and select the unpack option and your Sim will soon have some basic necessities for their home (a guitar, a computer, and a microwave).

Sims Social - Unpack

Clicking any interactable object in the game will give you a series of actions to choose from.

As you unpack, your Sim will become urgently hungry as represented by the red blinking icon on the screen. You learn that keeping your Sim happy by maintaining all of the factors represented by these green icons (yellow/red when declined) gives you the priceless bonus of becoming ‘inspired’. If you click on the icons as they turn yellow and red, your Sim will automatically perform whatever action is needed to get them back up to green (in some cases they will simply tell you what you need to do).

Sims Social - Inspired

An inspired Sim earns more Simoleons while working and/or training skills.

Now it’s time for your first encounter with Skills. One of your boxes contains a guitar, and you will be instructed to compose with it. This queues a task the same way pressing a button highlighted in yellow would- Energy will be spent and you will gain proficiency in that Skill as well as Simoleons and Experience Points.

Sims Social - Skills

This is how training all of your skills will work, everything from writing to cooking.

After playing a quick tune, you will be invited to go and visit Bella. Click on her icon to teleport to her house instantly (you can do this whenever you want, head over if your Sim urgently needs to socialize). Click on her and use the Greet action and you will become Acquaintances with Bella. If you talk to her enough, you’ll become Friends (you can even try flirting with her later). After your interactions with Bella, you’ll be rewarded with your first Social Points which can be used in the Shop. Talking and being sociable with other Sims earns you more Social Points.

Sims Social - Visit Bella

When you add Neighbors later on, you can click their portraits just like this to visit them.

Quest: Finish Unpacking

Once you get back home you’ll receive a quest that you can accept by clicking on the head on the left side of the screen. This is how you will be getting quests from now on, so keep an eye out. Completing quests can earn you some great rewards and it progresses the story in-game. This particular quests requires that you simply unpack the remaining boxes.

Sims Social - Finish Unpacking

Quests will always give you a checklist that outlines exactly what you have to do.

Quest: Start Earning Simoleons

It’s time to start using your Skills to earn you money and experience, this next quest requires that you compose a song with your guitar (this completes one Skill Tier, keep completing Tiers to get more rewards). Click your guitar and hit the Compose option and you will be taken to the Music Skill screen. Hit the Compose button until the bar is filled up- notice that the Compose action is being queued up on the upper left. You can click actions that are queued up at any time to cancel them.

Sims Social - Music

Completing tiers and leveling your skills earns you great rewards and helps you Level Up faster.

Quest: Buy a New Outfit

Your friend wants you to buy a piece of clothing from the shop for this quest. Click the Shop icon on the bottom right side of the screen and buy any clothing item for your character and the quest will be complete. Take note that this is the screen you can use to change your clothes, hairstyle, facial features, and even your sex.

Sims Social - Buy Outfit

Use your Simoleons, Simcash, and Social Points to buy stuff at the store.

What’s next?

Once you’ve completed all of these quests, you should have your general bearings on how to play Sims Social and progress through the game. It’s sometimes easy to get disoriented with the freeform nature of Sims games, but veterans of the series should have no problem with this one’s simplified interface and gameplay. Keep on training you skills and completing quests to advance the story, once you have enough Simoleons you can start expanding your house and improving your yard. It would be wise to learn more about Crafting so you can make your own items.

One final tip: you can make this game a lot easier and more bountiful by playing it with a group of friends. If you all share rewards with each other (which doesn’t take anything from you), everyone will be receiving bonus items and money all the time. You can use everything you can get, you tend to burn through Energy quite fast and having a group of friends can make it easier to find ways to replenish it.
